The Breast EVER Breakfast?

Hastings Deering’s old-World War II hanger at Kerry RD, usually used for assembling Cat machinery, was transformed by pink for a joint fund-raising initiative with the Mater Hospitals ‘Chicks in Pink’ last week with 140 guests braving the chill for the 20th Annual Breast Cancer Breakfast. It’s been 3 years since we were last able to hold the event and it was amazing to see the support, not just for the event on the day but also for the raffle. With prizes donated from our business and partners the prize pool total was more than $20,000!

The event included a guest speaker panel with University of Queensland Professor of Surgery Dr Chris Pyke, Mater Chicks in Pink breast cancer nurse Ash Mondolo and Hastings Deering Business Solutions Manager Ross Meyer and his wife Nikki all taking part, a delicious buffet breakfast catered by ‘The Wandering Italian’ and the unveiling of a very special new Cat 299D Compact Track Loader painted in pink in preparation for it’s first-hire to our valued customer Gemlife!
