Shannon joined our Hastings Deering leadership team in 2024 and is based in Brisbane. As General Manager - Health, Safety and Sustainability, Shannon’s responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of health and safety protocols across all Sime Industrial businesses, leading sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
What Shannon values most is the ability to influence a culture where people return home safely every day and where proactive risk management is embedded in everything we do. He’s passionate about creating environments where safety isn't just a priority - it’s a core value that guides decisions at every level.
Prior to his current role, Shannon worked for Sime Darby Industrial Services (SDIS) as Health, Safety, Environment and Training (HSET) Manager. He has experience in mining, manufacturing, chemical manufacturing and rail transport in both operational leadership roles and as part of a HSET team.
