PREREQUISITES

Students attending this course must have a sound understanding of Caterpillar engine system operation and experience in product repairs.

COURSE OUTLINE

This training program provides an in-depth study for participants to analyse and report wear mechanism and fracture characteristics associated with the failure of engine components.

The course consists of classroom instruction and laboratory exercises and concludes with case studies of component failures that have occurred in the field.

Students will apply the skills and knowledge learned during the course to accurately determine the cause of failure and provide appropriate maintenance advice to customers.
