With improvements in torque, travel speeds and transmission controls, the 777G hauls materials faster and more efficiently than other dump trucks in this size class. This Cat truck puts more power to the ground with a 7% torque increase while the new transmission controls carry more torque through shifts, most notably on grades, and combined with increased 7th gear speeds deliver faster cycle times. Additionally, with a more responsive Traction Control System, the new G Series delivers a range of benefits when operating in wet and challenging conditions such determining slip or high speed turns, returning traction sooner and tyre wear reduction.  

As the comfort of your crew dictates their productivity and awareness on the work-site, the Cat 777 dump truck has been designed with operator comfort in safety in mind to help deliver a strong and predictable performance that enables your operators to achieve the lowest cost per ton. This Cat off-highway truck features easy, low-effort access to the cab and ergonomic, intuitive controls with a spacious sound-suppressed cab with large window areas to deliver excellent visibility and up to 50% decreased noise. Additional features with the Cat 777 dump truck include the Automatic Retarder Control (ARC) which reduces operator effort and controls braking on downhill grades and the steering-sensitive Traction Control System (TCS) that delivers  faster activation and improved response to wheel slip.

FOPS Standards Falling Objects Protective Structure (FOPS) meets ISO 3449:2005 Level II FOPS criteria. ROPS Standards Rollover Protective Structure (ROPS) for cab offered by Caterpillar meets ISO 3471:2008 ROPS criteria.
Sound Standards (1) The operator Equivalent Sound Pressure Level (Leq) is 73 dB(A) when SAE J1166 FEB2008 is used to measure the value for an enclosed cab. This is a work cycle sound exposure level. The cab was properly installed and maintained. The test was conducted with the cab doors and the cab windows closed. Sound Standards (2) The exterior sound pressure level for the standard machine measured at a distance of 15 m (49 ft) according to the test procedures specified in SAE J88:2008, mid‑gear moving operation is 83 dB(A) for Tier 4 trucks and 84 dB(A) for Tier 2 Equivalent.
