VINCENT COSGROVE

GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE & EXTERNAL AFFAIRS

Vincent joined Hastings Deering in 2015 and is a member of the Executive Leadership team responsible for human resources, capability & learning and external affairs functions. He is also the CEO of the Hastings Deering Registered Training Organisation.

Between 2011 and 2014 he was Head of External Affairs and member of the Executive Leadership Team with BHP Mitsubishi Alliance responsible for all external affairs, internal communication and communities. Prior to joining BHP, Vincent worked with Royal Dutch Shell for 24 years in senior external affairs and business roles in Australia, UK, and Singapore.

Between 2007 and 2011, he was the Vice President Communications Asia Pacific based in Singapore responsible for communication and reputation management for Shell’s businesses across 15 countries in Asia Pacific. Between 2002 and 2006, Vincent was based in London and held roles of Head of External Affairs Strategy & Portfolio responsible for communication in mergers, acquisitions and divestments and Global Issues and Crisis Manager providing strategic advice to Shell’s Downstream business across 100 countries. From 2000 to 2002, he was the External Affairs Manager for Shell in Australia and Pacific Islands.

Vincent completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland and a Masters of Business Administration from Monash University. He serves as a director of St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School Council and is a board member of the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy.
