Caterpillar is the only heavy equipment manufacturer that designs and manufactures its own line of hose and couplings.  Cat began manufacturing hose and couplings in the 1960s because the industry leaders were unable to meet the specification to work on Cat machinery.

When building hoses, Hastings Deering uses special tooling to remove harmful contaminants inside the assembly.  By propelling three cleaning projectiles through hoses while under construction, dangerous contaminants are removed to ensure your hoses are Certified Cat Clean.  Next, the hoses are capped and plugged at both ends to further minimise contamination.
