Hastings Deering’s Institute of Training is a recently announced dealer initiative which delivers to Caterpillar customers and dealer staff a consistent level of quality training whether it be operator, technical, business or computer training.

Many of the courses reach Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards and are delivered by trainers employed full time in the delivery of apprentice, post trade technical and computer training. Caterpillar trained operator trainers conduct customer courses ranging from basic machine familiarisation to application training specific to a customer's jobsite.

With the recent attainment of RTO status, the Hastings Deering Institute of Training is able to issue nationally recognised certificates of competency in the following areas:

• MEM20105        Certificate II in Engineering
• MEM30205        Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• MNC20104        Certificate II in Surface Coal Operations
• MNM20205        Certificate II in Metalliferous Mining Operations - Underground
