Hastings Deering has always been a strong supporter of apprenticeships and is one of the largest employers of apprentices in Queensland and the Northern Territory. We currently employ over 350 apprentices in Diesel Fitting, Auto Electrical and Boilermaking trades with plans to engage a further 117 new apprentices to commence in early 2012.

With a network of 21 locations and over 3500 staff, Hastings Deering offers extensive career opportunities and career support and growth.  Apprentices are trained in our modern workshops and at the Hastings Deering Institute of Technology purpose built apprentice training facilities.

With occupational health and safety being our company’s number one cricitcal success factor, all employees, including our apprentices, are educated in best practice methods of creating and maintaining a safe workplace for all.
